[UPDATE] Police Find Missing Montville Woman

Tina Hauser, reported missing on October 24, turns up safe and sound in Norwich

A Montville woman who was reported missing by her family on Monday has been found. Police say they finally located Tina Hauser, 47, alive and well in Norwich.

Connecticut State Police and the Town of Montville Police Department had sought the public’s help in locating Hauser, who was reported missing on Monday, October 24. She had not been seen since a friend dropped her off at the bus station in the City of New London on Friday, October 21.

"She told a her friend she was getting on a bus to go to Stop & Shop in Montville," investigating officer Sgt. Troy Gelinas of the Montville Police Department said. When she didn't come home, her sister filed a missing person's report.

Gelinas said the family told him it was very out-of-character for Hauser not to make contact with them. That made them, "very concerned for her safety," Gelinas said.

Gelinas did say, however, that he thought there was a good chance Hauser was still in the area somewhere. As it turns out, she was.
