Connecticut State Police at Troop E have confirmed the victim in today's fatal crash is Montville resident Shane Sweeney, 20, of 100 Cherry Lane, Oakdale.
Shortly after 10 a.m. today, the state transportation department reported an accident on I395 north between exits 80W and 81E. Reports indicted the vehicle Sweeney was driving went off the highway and rolled over into the trees.
Sweeney, a 2010 graduate of Montville High School, was pronounced dead on the scene.
