Montville Police Logs - Jan. 4 - Jan. 10

The following arrest information was provided by Montville and State police and does not constitute a conviction.

 

Jan. 4

Phillberto Santana Rodriquez, 22, of 1937 Route 32, was charged with second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and carrying a dangerous weapon after police responded to the Route 32 address and found Rodriquez holding a machete. It took several commands from police for Rodriquez to drop the weapon, the report stated; he was then placed under arrest. Simultaneously, a female at the residence needed to be restrained by police and was ultimately transported to Backus Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after she allegedly threatened to kill herself.

Jan. 5

Elise Rivera, 22, of Avon was charged with driving under the influence after the car she was driving near the exit 79a ramp on I395 N hit a guardrail and ended up on a snow bank.

Brian D. Watson, 34, of 183 Willimantic Road, Baltic was charged with driving under the influence.

Jan. 6

Sean A. Mcelwee of Friar Tuck Drive, Gales Ferry was charged with driving under the influence after a Montville Police car stop on Route 32.

Jan. 7

Henry Ortiz, 40, 187 Huntington St. Apt. B14, New London was charged with possession of narcotics following a car stop on Route 32. Police conducted a search after detecting the odor of marijuana, police records read. He was held on $10,000 bail.

Jan. 11

Joshua D. Drake, 28, of 157 Kimball Road, Lisbon was charged with driving under the influence.
