UPDATE: Fire On Oxoboxo Cross Road Is Suspicious

The fire early this morning in at Route 163 is suspicious, Fire Marshal Raymond Occhialini said in an email to Patch.

The fire was called in at 2:06 a.m. Oakdale, Montville, Chesterfield, and Mohegan departments, along with area tankers, responded. The house was not occupied and had no electricity, Occhialini said. The house was part of the old Camp Oxoboxo.

There were no injuries.
