DUI, Possession, Risk of Injury Charges

April 6

At 2:38 a.m., police arrested Jason R. Haney, 27, of 19 Beechwood Drive, Oakdale, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and operating with excessive noise levels. He was assessed a $500 bond on the first charge, and given an April 17 court date. The arrest came on Jerome Road at Moxley Road, when, according to the report, an officer on patrol “observed subject vehicle spin its tires to make a loud audible noise.”

April 7

At 8:53 p.m., police arrested Jacob A. Bozsum, 23, of 19 Fullerton Road, Baltic, and charged him with operating/towing an unregistered motor vehicle, impropert use of marker plate/license/registration, insurance coverage failing minimum requirements, driving when registration or license is refused/suspended/revoked, failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $1,000 nonsurety bond on the final charge, and given an April 17 court date. The arrest came on Oakdale Road at Bridge Street

April 7

At 4:57 a.m., police arrested Kahshan Berry, 26, of 11 Idaho St., Oakdale, and charged him with risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct: threatening, and third-degree assault: minor injury or intent to cause injury. He was released on a $2,500 nonsurety bond and given an April 9 court date.

They also arrested Erich A. McManus, 26, also of 11 Idaho St., Oakdale, and charged him with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct: threatening. He was assessed a $2,000 bond; no court date was listed.

April 8

At 2:58 a.m., Montville Police arrested James A. Turner, 30, of 272 Chesterfield Road, Oakdale, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and traveling unreasonably fast for conditions. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given an April 24 court date. The arrest came on Route 32.

At 11:36 p.m., police arrested Samuel Williams Jr., 61, of 17 Harriet Tubman Court, Hartford, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to drive in the proper lane on a multilane highway, and drinking while operating a motor vehicle. He was assessed a $500 bond on the latter charge, and given an April 24 court date. The arrest came on Route 2A.

April 10

At 3:02 p.m., Montville Police arrested Roscoe Washington, 36, of 15 Beechwood Road, Oakdale, and charged him with possession with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance and possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana. He was assessed a $2,500 cash bond and given an April 19 court date. The arrest came on Gallivan Lane at Route 32, when, according to the report, a vehicle was observed with no front license plate.
