DUI Charges Dominate Police Report

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

Feb. 17

At 10:57 p.m. members of the Montville town police and Connecticut State police responded to reports of “a subject discharging a hand gun while walking down the road,” on Moxley Road, according to Connecticut State Police report. The Montville Police report said “the male was suspected of pointing a gun at a passing motorist.”

When officers arrived on the scene, they located Simon O. Juedy, 22, of 141 Durham Road in Norwich, inside 140 Moxley Road. Juedy “exited the house and was subsequently arrested…without incident,” said the state police report. The town’s police report says, “the male struggled with police briefly when he was taken into custody.”

Juedy was charged with failure to submit to fingerprinting, interfering with an officer: non-assaultive, breach of peach-threatening, and threatening. Juedy was assessed a $10,000 cash bond and given a March 1 court date.

Feb. 18

At 4:29 a.m., Montville police arrested Kohl Chappelle, 28, of 96 Green St. in New London, and charged him with driving in left lane by commercial/bus/MV with trailer and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, after he refused to take sobriety tests. Chappelle was assessed a $500 bond and given a March 6 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop.  

At 4:26 a.m. Montville police arrested Carlos A. Vega, of 1582 Norwich-New London Turnpike in Uncasville, and charged him with failure to drive upon right, insurance coverage fails minimum requirement, operate/tow unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Vega was assessed a $1,000 bond and given a March 6 court date.

At 3 p.m., police arrested Douglas J. Brown, 19, of East Main Street in Griswold, at the Mohegan Sun Casino “for an outstanding arrest warrant,” according to the report. Brown was charged with fourth-degree larceny, assessed a $2,500 surety bond and given a March 1 court date.

At 10:40 p.m., police arrested Paul Monteiro, 40, of 132 Colby Drive in East Hartford, “on a warrant following an investigation into a stolen purse at the Mohegan Sun Casino, according to the report. Monteiro was picked up on Mohegan Sun Boulevard and charged with fifth-degree larceny from a motor vehicle. Monteiro was assessed a $5,000 bond and given a March 1 court date.

Feb. 19

At 4:19 a.m. police arrested Sean M. Lundy, 23, of 171a Kitemaug Road in Uncasville and charged him with failure to drive upon right and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Lundy was assessed a $500 bond and given a March 6 court date. The arrest came after a motor  vehicle stop on Massapeag Road at Route 32.

 Feb. 21

At 2:47 a.m., Montville police arrested Angel Emilio Eusebio-Vasquez, 23, of 13 Orchard Court in New London, and charged him with failure to drive upon right, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and travelling unreasonably fast/fast for conditions. He was assessed a $500 bond and given a March 16 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop.
