DUI and Breach of Peace Charges, Alleged Road Rage Incident

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

Oct. 6

At 2:30 pm., Montville Police responded to 161 Connecticut Blvd., Oakdale, for a reported domestic incident. They arrested Lori A. Girard, 40, and James Floyd, 42, both of 161 Connecticut Blvd., Oakdale, and charged them both with disorderly conduct. Girard was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond, and Floyd, a $500 surety bond. Both were given Oct. 7 court dates.

At 1:27 a.m., Montville Police arrested Donald C. Bauman, 41, of Willetts Ave., New London, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The report says a Montville Police officer found Bauman “slumped over the wheel with (the) vehicle running.”

At 9:13 p.m., Montville Police arrested Timothy M. Roderick, 51, of 619 Route 163, Montville, and charged him with failure to drive right and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $1,000 nonsurety bond on the latter charge, and given an Oct. 8 court date. The arrest came on Route 163 after a motor vehicle stop.

Oct. 11

At 8:58 p.m., police responded to Route 85 for a two-vehicle accident. Vehicles driven by Wanda Ilvento, 42, of 199 Old Colchester Road, Salem, and Gordon D. Randolph, 43, of Oakdale, collided. Both vehicles were towed. Ilvento complained of neck pain.

Oct. 12

At 5:14 a.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Interstate 395 in Montville. A vehicle driven by John Trotta, 47, of 1273 California Road, Eastchester, NY, was, according to the report, “observed by witnesses traveling at a high rate of speed, and changing lanes unsafely.” Trotta then lost control of the vehicle, the report says, and it traveled onto the right shoulder, then up an embankment, and rolled over twice. Trotta suffered minor injuries and was transported to Backus Hospital. “An investiogation of the crash revealed that (Trotta) was operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” the report says. Trotta was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, was released on a $500 nonsurety bond and given an Oct. 27 court date.

Oct. 13

At 10:29 p.m., Montville Police arrested John H. Brycki Jr., 41, of 61 Noble Hill Road, Oakdale, and charged him with four counts of third-degree assault, four counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, and second degree criminal mischief after what is described as a “road rage incident.”

The report says that Brycki became “involved in road rage incident with (Uncasvile resident Kenneth Gagnier, Madalaine Derico, Michael Douton and an unnamed juvenile). Altercation became physical and suspect used pepper spray on all victims and smashed out three windows of the victim’s vehicle.” The alleged incident took place on Randy Lane in Uncasville. Brycki was assessed a $5,000 nonsurety bond and given an Oct. 27 court date.

Oct. 14

Connecticut State Police issued a press release announcing the arrest of Matthew Lallis, 30, an inmate at the Corrigan Correctional Center, on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

The report says that after an extensive investgation starting in September, the Connecticut State Police, Eastern District Major Crime Squad and Troop E Montville, arrested Lallis, who is currently incarcerated on an unrelated charge. The report says he was attempting to have a witness murdered in that investigation, prior to testifying.

Oct. 15

Police arrested Gary W. Fess, 33, of 567 Old Colchester Road, Uncasville, and charged him with breach of peace after, according to the report, he caused a disturbance at a Montville Youth Football game. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given an Oct. 27 court date.

Oct. 15

At 12:57 a.m., Montville Police arrested Jose Raphael Pereyra, 36, of 875 Old Colchester Road, Montville, and charged him with failure to drive right, driving a motor vehicle when registration of license is refused/suspended/revoked, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. No bond was assessed; he was given an Oct. 25 court date. The arrest came on Route 163 after a motor vehicle stop.
