Crashes, False Reporting, DUI Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

Jan. 7

At 12:38 p.m., Montville Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 32 at Route 2A. Vehicles driven by Jose L. Sierra, 46, of 132-C Woodland Drive, Uncasville, and Nancy A Rall, 235 Avery Hill Road, Ledyard, collided. Both vehicles were towed. Sierra complained of neck and back pain and was not transported. A passenger in Rall’s car complained of chest pain. Another passenger in that car had to be evacuated from the vehicle.

Jan. 9

At 3:55 p.m., Montville Police responded to a passenger vs. pedestrian accident in the area of 428 Gay Hill Road, Uncasville. Nicole A. Beebe, 22, of 9 Saltbox Circle, Uncasville, was driving, and, according to the report, Lance E. Sistare, 57, 253 Maple Ave., Uncasville, was walking. Sistare’s left arm was injured, and Beebe’s right rearview mirror was damaged, according to the report.

Jan. 10

At 3:27 p.m., Montville Police responded to an accident on Route 85. Vehicles driven by Asa S. Zorn, 20, of 126 Emerald Glen, Salem, and Tyler D. Richards, 19, of 532 Route 82, Oakdale, collided. Both vehicles were towed. Zorn was taken to Backus Hospital with complaints of head pain.

Jan. 13

At 3:10 p.m., Montville Police arrested Robert Ruthchick,  37, and Marilyn Saltus, 44, both of 509 Route 32, Uncasville, and charged them both with false reporting in the second degree and interfering. Each was assessed a nonsurety bond of $2,500 and given a Jan. 26 court date. The arrests came after a false report of a theft of prescription medication, according to the report.

Jan. 16

At 7:55 p.m., Montville Police arrested Michael C. Dipollina, 43, of 55 Hunts Brook Road, Quaker Hill, and charged him with failure to drive right, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a Jan. 31 court date. The arrest came after Dipollina was “observed driving into oncoming lane of traffic” on Route 32, the report says.

Jan. 17

At 4:42 a.m., Montville Police responded to Route 32, near No. 695, where an SUV had hit a tree. Jill M. Santana, 31, of 58 Depot Road, Uncasville, reported leg pain. Her SUV was towed.
