Child Porn Charges, DUI Arrests, Crashes

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

May 3

At 3:15 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Route 85 in Montville. A 2008 Ford Focus driven by Asa Zorn, 20, of 126 Emerald Glen, Salem, and a 1995 Toyota Corolla driven by Jessica McArdle, 20, of 134 Peters Drive, Groton, collided. Zorn complained of chest pain. McArdle complained of back pain and a nose bleed. Zorn’s vehicle was towed. The drivers and a passenger in McArdle’s car were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

At the start of the year, the Hartford Police Department and FBI New Haven Cromputer Crime Task Force began an investigation into possession and distribution of child pornography through a peer-to-peer computer network. The investigation led them to Oakdale. , 24, and charged him with child pornography, obscenity and promotion of a minor in an obscene performance. He was also cited for possession of marijuana. He was released on a $25,000 bond with a court date of May 17.

May 5

Police responding to a reported disturbance on Lathrop Road found Kenneth Thompson, 46, to be in violation of a protective order. He assessed a $5,000 cash bone and given a May 7 court date.

May 6

At 7:45 a.m., police arrested Waverley D. Brown, 42, of 2 Tanner Road, Keene, NH, and charged him with reckless driving and third-degree larceny: possession of property unlawfully taken. He was held on a $50,000 cash surety bond and given a May 17 court date. The arrest came on Interstate 395, when police reported a vehicle that appeared to be operating erratically. According to the report, investigation revealed that Brown had been accused of stealing the vehicle in Massachusetts and traveling to Foxwoods.

May 8

At 1:14 a.m., police arrested Kenneth J. Gagnier, 27, of 2 Gair Court, Uncasville, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and traveling unreasonably fast for conditions. He was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a May 22 court date. The arrest came on Route 32 at Pink Row, after, according to the report, the vehicle was seen “operating a high rate of speed.”

May 9

At 2:23 a.m., police arrested Raymond Lee Bull, 38, of 9 Lathrop Court, Uncasville, and charged him with improper hand signal for turns or stopping, stop sign violation, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 bond and given a May 22 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Lathrop Court Extension.

May 10

At 10:40 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash on the Old Colchester Road. A Ford Ranger driven by Kevin Clemens, 22, of 313 Fitchville Road, Bozrah, and a Ford van driven by Ronald MacGregor, 1588 Old Colchester Road, Oakdale, collided near 69 Old Colchester Extension. Both vehicles were towed. MacGregor was transported to the hospital with neck and back pain.
