Police Report DUI and Assault Charges, Warrant Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by Connecticut State Police and Montville Police. It does not indicate convictions.

Oct. 30

At 4:05 a.m., a Montville plow truck driven by Leonard Bunnell Jr. hit a self-standing basketball hoop while plowing the freak snow that had fallen that morning. There was damage to the passenger side door of the truck; there were no injuries. The incident occurred on Beechwood Drive.

At 8 p.m., Montville Police responded to Route 85 in Oakdale, where they arrested Russell Sheppard, 51,of 117 Parkway North, Waterford, and charged him with second-degree assault, breach of peace and using a motor vehicle without permission. He was assessed a $50,000 bond, and given a Nov. 10 court date. The arrest was on a court-issued warrant pursuant to a reported domestic violence issue.

At 12:11, Montvile Police arrested Amanda L. Gadway, 19, of 28 Summer St., Norwich, and charged her with driving while under the influence of drugs and/of alcohol and improper signaling. She was assessed a $500 nonsurety bond and given a Nov. 21 court date.

Nov. 10

At 11:56 p.m., police arrested Reginald E. Green, 22, of 1 Fellow St., Apt. 49, Oakdale, and arrested him on a warrant charging 6th degree shoplifting, in Madison. He was assessed a $500 bond and given a Nov. 17 court date. The arrest was made on Mohegan Sun Blvd. He was transported to Troop E after being arrested by Groton Town Police.

At 11:17 a.m., police arrested Jared Alton Bean, 23, of 53 Roosevelt Ave., Uncasville, on charges of violating a protective order. He was assessed a $5,000 bond and given a Nov. 14 court date. The arrest came on Broadview Avenue in Montville.

At 9 p.m., Montville Police arrested William Willano, 26, of 189 Broad St., New London, and charged him with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief and criminal attempt/larceny. He was held on a $50,000 bond and given a Nov. 14 court date. The arrest came on a warrant pursuant to a complaint. He was arrested on Glendale Road in Oakdale.

At 6:12 p.m., police arrested Jonathan T. Fisher, 30, of 335 Hamilton Ave., Apt. 16, Norwich, and charged him with violation of probation/conditional discharge. He was assessed a $50,000 bond and given a Nov. 14 court date. The arrest on an active warrant came at 58 Noble Hill Road in Montville.

Nov. 12

At 2:32 a.m., Montville Police arrested Chad Lucas Morgan, 36, of 536 Shewville Road, Ledyard, and charged him with reckless driving/operating at more than 85 mph, driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and passing on the right. He was assessed a $1,000 nonsurety bond on the DUI charge, and given a Nov. 29 court date. The report says Morgan was driving 90 mph in a  50-mph zone on Route 2A Eastbound near Exit 1 in Montville.

At 1:23 a.m., Montville Police arrested Jason O. Gorman, 38, of 23 Matthewson Mill Road, Ledyard, and charged him with driving with a suspended license/alcohol, failure to drive right, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $1,000 nonsurety bond on the latter charge, and given a Nov. 29 court date. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop.

At 2:31 p.m., Montville Police arrested Juan C. Trillo, 25, and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, traveing unreasonable fast, possession of less than a half-ounce of cannabis-type substance. He was assessed a $1,000 cash bond and given a Nov. 22 court date. The arrest came on 91 Leffingwell Road, Uncasville.
