OK, that debut last week was not good. But I could not put my finger on the issue. Well, wait, yes I can. I dislike Robin Thicke’s style of music. I did not love selection clip packages – forced tension, I thought. John Legend seems like a nice enough guy but is kind of bland. Jennifer Nettles and Kelly Clarkson are the bomb but they are not enough to carry the load. And the host? Quaddus? What is he, from The Hunger Games? Tonight, “classic” duets. Whatever that means.
Breaking Pointe, 8 p.m., CW
