letter to the editor..."Voters of Montville"

On Tuesday we will be casting our vote for those individuals we want to be on the Montville’s Town Council.  My vote is for Rosetta Jones.  As my representative, she has served me and this town well.  She has stood her ground on issues that would have increased our taxes beyond our means—case in point, our school’s budget. 

To my knowledge, Rosetta Jones is the only town council member that has informed the  Montville taxpayers about issues coming before the council for a town vote via The Montville Times.  In the 50 years that I’ve lived in this town this is a FIRST.   In her articles, she provided us with sufficient information for each voter to make an informed decision as how to vote.  She always did her “homework” prior to council meetings and was prepared to ask appropriate questions, while other council members sat perplexed.  She certainly played a significant part in keeping our taxes from increasing, and therefore allowed an aging population to stay in their homes.  

Rosetta Jones is the only candidate running for a seat on the town council that came to my door during this campaign.  Let’s stop the “good ole boy/girl club” routine and vote for a candidate that has proven her worth and who truly cares about our town.  We need her on our town council!
