The Montville Education Foundation, Inc. (MEF) provides funds only for qualified community projects and programs that most closely align with the MEF philanthropic priorities established within its Mission. MEF seeks to fund educational projects and programs that are relevant, creative and inspiring and have a broad community impact.
Broadening education beyond the schools is part of the MEF mission, as learning is viewed as lifelong. To this end, MEF invites and encourages grant applications from the community-at-large that include schoolteachers, staff, administrators, municipal departments, daycare centers, and non-profits who wish to provide an educational project or program to the town or schools.
The Montville Education Foundation has two grant cycles each year, ending May 30 and October 30. The MEF Grant Committee meets twice a year to review grant proposals and make funding recommendations to the entire MEF Board of Directors. Formal grant applications must be submitted in writing for this cycle by October 30, 2013. Deadline for this cycle is rapidly approaching.
