Daily Five: Holiday Bake Sale, Snowman-Gram Fundraiser, and Taste of Tri-Town

Here's your Daily Five, folks.

 

1. Sun and clouds, with a high of 42. Now this is starting to feel a little like early winter.

2. It is Wednesday, a perfect day to tell you about events this weekend (with a reminder Friday).  featuring dozens of tasty holiday food samplings including appetizers, beverages, and desserts from local vendors. And while you’re tasting and sampling, make sure to make a $1 donation to help fill the Montville Senior & Social Services food pantry. A great cause!

3. Speaking of good causes, the Holiday Cookie Sale at Fair Oaks School Community Center hosted by Project Graduation 2013 is also on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Don't have time to bake this holiday season,” organizers ask. “Stop by and pick up a scrumptious assortment of hand selected cookies homemade by some of the best local bakers in town.” And while you’re there, ask about $15 Foxwoods Bingo tickets -- all for another good cause!

4. This is so awesome! Kids send a Snowman-Gram to a friend for $1 with all proceeds will be used to provide gifts to families in need! Be still my heart!
