Senior Project Benefits the Montville Youth Service Bureau
Loren Rickard builds an equipment shed for the Montville Youth Advisory Board as his "Senior Project"
When Loren Rickard, a Montville High School Senior, learned he would have a "Senior Project" due for his senior project class, he knew immediately what he wanted to do, build a shed for MYSB. After spending many years as a member of the Youth Service Bureau and seeing the need for an equipment shed, he tackled the project head on.
Loren drew up a plan, presented it to Advisory Board members, attended many Board meetings to answer questions, secured donations and volunteers and he was underway.
On Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th, the big build was in process. Loren supplied his volunteers with the tools and guidance needed to help and he also provided lunch and drinks for their help. He had everything organized and under control. After watching this whole project take place, I can only hope that more students take the intiative Loren took by giving back to his community and not taking the easy way out of this project.

Way to go Loren, I was honored to have helped you for a few hours and I know the MYSB is extremely appreciative.
