On March 23rd, a vote was held in United States Senate on Senate Concurrent Resolution 8, a concurrent resolution on setting the congressional budget for fiscal year 2014, revising the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal year 2013, and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2015 through 2023.
Senate Amendment 139 to Senate Concurrent Resolution 8, “To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty”, passed on a 53 to 46 vote with one not voting. Senators Blumenthal and Murphy voted against the amendment (i.e. against the Second Amendment).
