MEF is a non-profit, community supported organization that funds grants for the Montville community and its schools.  The MEF Grant Program has two grant cycles, with deadlines for grant applications on April 30 and October 31 of each year.

MEF was established in 2008 and since the first grant award in 2009, the Foundation has given back to the community over $23,000 in grant funding.  These funds have been used to enhance technology, reading, art, music, science, cultural change and after school activities.  Every dollar contributed to MEF helps our community go beyond the scope of the tax supported budget and provides extraordinary educational opportunities for residents of all ages.  Through this additional enrichment, Montville Schools earned state recognition through the Connecticut Center for Parent Advocacy as a “model district” for the “Raising Readers Parent Club” and “Raising Readers Student Club”.  This MEF grant award program is now district wide.
