Memorial Day Parade Orders

ATTENTION:  PARADE UNITS

Enclosed are the Parade Orders for the Montville Memorial Day Parade to be held on Sunday, May22, 2011.

Also enclosed is a map that indicates the division formation location, the parade route and the VFW Post Home.

The program for the Memorial Services at the Town Hall Monument on Route 32 at 12 noon and the services scheduled for Comstock Cemetery are also enclosed.

We will be forming the parade during the Memorial Services at the Town Hall so only those units participating in the Memorial Services should report to the Town Hall no later than 11.30 AM.  We will have a bus to carry personnel from the formation area to the Town Hall for the services.

 We urge all color guard units to report to Town Hall.   At the conclusion of the service, all units should proceed immediately to the parade formation area.  We will have the bus to carry personnel back to that area.

All other units should report to the designated formation area no later than 11:45 AM.

Montville VFW Memorial Post 10060 and the Memorial Day Events Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating in our Memorial Day exercises.  We appreciate your helping us to honor those to whom this parade is dedicated, Our wounded and fallen warriors and their families and our armed forces personnel and their families.

Please join us for free refreshments at Montville VFW POST HOME on Raymond Hill Road after the ceremonies are concluded. 

PLEASE NOTE:  Food and soft drinks are not served in the bar area.
