3. First Saturdays at the awesome Pequot Museum. The first Saturday in March (tomorrow, Sat. March 2), April and May kids 15 and younger are free at the award-winning museum. The only fee is a $5 craft fee if kids choose to make a craft; this month it’s cornhusk dolls. If you haven’t been, go! The Pequot Museum features interactive exhibits and a 16th c. Pequot village.

4. The Montville VFW Ladies Auxiliary holds its Third annual Tasty Pairings Wine Social Sunday, March 3 beginning at 2 p.m. Five wines paired with five tasty tidbits. There will also be various basket raffles and music by DJ Avery . Proceeds benefit various veteran’s charities.
5. A chili cook-off sponsored by the Montville Republican Town Committee Sunday at 4 p.m. at Oakdale Fire House, 44 Chapel Hill Road.
