Storm Volunteers Are Montville's 'People of the Week'

Usually, we feature a Person of the Week, but this week, it's all of you! Do you know someone who has volunteered through Sandy? Tell us about them in the comments section!

Mayor Ron McDaniel heaped praise on the many, mnay volunteers he has encountered over the course of the storm and its aftermath.

"I literally cannot say enough about (volunteers)," he said. "They have just been there every step of the way and where we'd be without that help -- firefighters, first responders and the people that have just showed up -- I don't know."

And as Montville Emergency Management Director Ray Occhialini said, the volunteers are the backbone of the town.

Montville Patch agrees!
