Sagging Wall Has Sagged Its Last

Repairs Were Already on the Docket for the Wall at the Intersection of 32 and 163.

The sagging wall at the intersection of routes 163 and 32 sagged its last over the weekend. The heavy rain Saturday night apparently led to its demise.

On Monday, a huge section of the wall could be seen crumbled and fallen down beneath the dam.

Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz said he has spoken with the state, and what happens next "will depend on what the state finds."

Soil experts will come in, Jaskiewicz said, and check the ground and determine what the collapse means in terms of their work.

"It's definitely going to change something," Jaskiewicz said.
