Regional Red Cross Shelter Now Open for Montville Residents

Montville Emergency Management Director Raymond Occhialini reminds folks that the Red Cross-managed shelter at East Lyme Middle School take pets, but make sure you have vaccine records, crate and food.

 

 

A Red Cross run shelter at East Lyme Middle School is open residents from Montville, Waterford, New London, East Lyme and Old Lyme.

Pets are welcome but must have vaccination records, a carrier/crate, food and water. 

Should there be a long-term power outage and loss of water for those with electric wells, Montville High School will still be available for showering.

For directions, click here and type in your address. For easy reference, take exit 74 off I95, make right onto Route 161S toward Niantic (also known as Flanders Road) travel a mile and take a slight right onto Society Road, then the second right. 

Be sure to bring blankets, pilllows, food, snacks, and medications.
