Sandy Hook Promise Introduced on One-Month Anniversary of Newtown School Shootings

Some of the parents of children who were killed in the Dec. 14 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting join other residents and elected officials as they seek to effect change locally, nationally and globally.

'Sandy Hook Promise' took their message to the public Monday, Jan. 14 — one month to the day from the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that claimed the life of 20 children and six educators and served as the catalyst for the organization.

Formerly known as Newtown United, the group is dedicated to common-sense changes that will prevent another tragedy from ever happening again.
