People of the Week Pulled Together Vigil in Hours

Hundreds attended the moving vigil created to honor and remember the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. We thank them; it was profoundly moving.

Our People of the Week are three folks who, in a matter of hours, pulled together a prayer vigil for the families and victims of the Newtown school shooting.

Tom McNally and Rhonda DiMaggio made it happen; got the town and school district on board and Lynda Jean jumped in and created ribbons; hundreds of them.

It was a very well attended vigil and by the end, there was nary a dry eye.

We just say thank you for doing what we were all thinking about.

Great job Tom and helpers. You do so much for the town and yet are never appreciated. Keep fighting the good fight.

I'm glad these people got together and did something for Montville. I was at town hall yesterday and to my shock and suprise they did not do a moment of silence. What is our mayor thinking? Every town and bussiness world wide stopped at 9:30 but not Montville town hall. Makes me sad to live here
