Montville's Person of the Week Is ...An Awesome Group of Seniors!
For their efforts creating the hundreds and hundreds of boxes and baskets filled with food for Montville's needy families, we salute the volunteers at the Montville Senior Center.
Our Person of the Week is a group of people, a very large group: the volunteer seniors at the Montville Senior Center who religiously show up every holiday to sort, inventory, bag and box food and other items for the needy in the community.
It’s a big job! We visited with them last fall and watched (and even pitched in) as a group of volunteers worked tirelessly to fill hundreds of boxes with a Thanksgiving meal. At Christmas, the volunteer seniors were at it again filling holiday boxes and stockings. And again, for Easter and they’ll be doing it again come fall.

They ask for no recognition. They just work quietly and earnestly always with smiles.
We are proud to work in a community with such selflessness and spirit of giving. And you should be proud, too – it’s your town, Montville!
