Hurricane Sandy Sandbags Available For Montville Residents
Sandbags may mean the difference between a flooded and dry basement.
According to Mayor Ronald McDaniel, sand bags are available at the Transfer Station and additional sand is available at the Department of Public Works at 225 Maple Avenue.
When asked at what point residents can pick up sandbags, McDaniel said, "anytime."

Went there earlier today & it was closed & no one was around. Will they be there on Monday for us to pick up sandbags? Thank You! marerinella@hotmail.com

I asked the Mayor about this earlier today. He said there were more than 100 bags at the Transfer Station and sand at the DPW garage. But I was told by at least one resident that all the bags were gone -- now two residents! I will check first thing tomorrow to see if the town will have more bags available and let you know the moment I find out.
