The afternoon's high winds have brought down trees and wires at 435 Raymond Hill Road. Police and fire officials are responding.
Connecticut Light and Power reports that 248 customers are without power at about 5 p.m.
Fire Marshal Ray Occhialini says Montville and Mohegan fire companies responded.
