Flood Watch in Effect Today

Rain, Melting Snow Combine to Create Potential Flood Conditions

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the area today.

A "potent storm" is expected to move in from the Great Lakes area, followed by a cooling front. The storm could drop an inch of rain, with more in places, the weather service said.

Donald W. Bourdeau Jr., director of Montville's Public Works Department, said during the rain on Friday that the storm drains were running well, and the town had seen no flooding so far.
