Three Of Five: High UV Index, Thick Town Council Agenda And Baby Gabriella On TV's 'Town Matters'

Trust me, Five Things you really want to know!

1. Is it just me or is it the humidity that makes an otherwise great summer day a bit oppressive. Well, that doesn’t matter today because the humidity will be low (and the dewpoint, too) and the temps will be perfect at 82 for a high with virtually no chance of rain (okay, 10 percent) and blue skies for miles. That said, the UV index is high -- a 9, so watch that sun exposure!

2. Tonight there’s a Montville Town Council meeting that has a three-page agenda filled with the at once perfunctory and curious, the latter something like this: a resolution to prohibit town board members from making political statements, while wearing a Town hat. We’ll be there and let you know what that’s all about.

3.  Town Matters is a public access program that interviews local guest on matters that impact Montville Residents. This weeks' guest is Baby Gabriella and her mother Crystal Littlefield. Gabriella has severe hydrocephalus and ventriculomegaly, simply meaning extra fluid on the brain that causes damaging pressure. The commmunity has rallied around this family to help cover the costs of her very expensive treatment. For more information, click here. The shows airs on channel 24, at 8 and on channel 99, anytime.

4.  Held monthly on the second Monday of the month, the meetings are at the Dime Bank Community Room, 290 Salem Turnpike.

5. And from the in-case-you-missed-it file, And not-for-nothing, but we all know that’s really good news.
