Daily Five: Youth Services, Halloween Costume Contest and Undecided Voters

Your Five today is like potpourri!

1. Today it will be mild, around 70 degrees. Expect lots of clouds, wind and showers; a thunderstorm or two is possible.

2.  The Montville Youth Service Bureau does a great job of outreach with not just an awesome website, but the MYSB also has a cool Facebook page and newsletter; Youth Scoop. Get tons of info about the MYSB Pancake Breakfast, football game at the Coast Guard Academy trip and a bunch of other awesome stuff on a kid-friendly, virus-free website. Their newsletter, Youth Scoop, is also amazing; filled with great info. Check it out.

3. Patch's Halloween Contest is awesome! I am convinced Montville can win this!

4. Patch is curious about what voters who remain undecided are hinging their votes on in the presidential election just 22 days away. Jump on the story and tell us!

5. Montville Patch named Montville Fire Marshal Raymond Occhialini our Person of the Week last week. As one resident pointed out in comments, Ray should be person of the year! Make sure to read his blogs about fire safety, prevention and education, especially his latest targeted especially for folks that have fireplaces and/or burn wood as a heat source. As Ray says, “Help us help you.”
