Daily Five: Play Ball, Mixin’ It Up and SBA Disaster Help

Your Daily Five, Montville, for Wednesday April 3!

1. Partly cloudy, windy with a high of 45. Not the nicest spring day ever, but at least it's not snowing!

2. The Montville Little League monthly board meeting is today, Wednesday, April 3rd at 7 p.m. at Fair Oaks School. The league is “always looking for new people who want to be involved.”

3. Tonight’s Zoning Board of Appeals meeting has been canceled.

4.
Small Business Administration disaster assistance in the form of low interest rate disaster loans is available to private nonprofit organizations in Connecticut and today is the day for New London County applicants. These loans are available as a result of a Presidential disaster declaration for Public Assistance resulting from damages caused by severe winter storm and snowstorm on Feb. 8-11, 2013. Examples of eligible non-critical PNP organizations include, but are not limited to food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers, schools and colleges.  Applicants should apply today at 10 a.m. at the Waterford Town Hall Auditorium 15 Rope Ferry Road in Waterford.

5. And from Montville High School, the Friends of Rachel Club has an awesome program on Wednesdays, called Mix It Up Wednesday where students sit with someone new during lunch. Every student that participates will be eligible for a gift card to the school store.
