Daily Five: Mighty Playhouse, Schools Days, and Inland Wetlands Meet

Your Daily Five, Montville.

 

1. Today expect sun and clouds, with a brisk wind and temps topping out at 35; a winter’s day.

2. The Mighty Playschool is a program of the child development classes at Montville High School where the students plan daily, developmentally based activities. The program, which begins in March and runs through the end of the school year, is open to children, 3-5 years of age who are residents of Montville, not enrolled in kindergarten, and are toilet trained may apply for enrollment. 3. School days lost due to storms/power outages – 8! SuperStorm Sandy had kids out of school from Oct. 29 and returning Nov. 2. In January students lost two days; the 16 and 31 and this month, another two days were lost as well; Feb. 8 and 11. It’s because of these missed days that the school calendar has been changed. And remember, winter’s not over yet!

4. Tonight, the Inland Wetlands Commission meets at 7 p.m. in Montville Town Hall.
