Daily Five: Make It Music Man, Camp Jobs and Meetings Ad Nauseam

Your Five is full today, folks.

 

1. Today we can expect lots of clouds, a high of 38 and maybe a few flurries. It’s still winter.

2. Second annual Sgt. Ari R. Cullers Birthday Memorial fundraiser will be held at the Montville VFW on March 30. Cullers was a Waterford man killed in Afghanistan in 2011.

3.  Camp counselor jobs announcement have been posted on the town’s website. Camp hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, although counselor hours vary due to responsibilities.  The job runs from mid June through August 9.  Each hired counselor must complete mandatory counselor training before the first day of camp and applicant must pass a First Aid/CPR class and a background check.  Pay range is minimum wage to $10 per hour.  An application is attached to this article. 

4.  Four town meetings today! The Youth Advisory Board, the Gardner Lake Authority the Democratic Town Committee and a joint WPCA and Town Council meeting. Whew! Trying to keep up!

5. Don’t forget The Music Man, being staged by Montville High School drama and music students beginning tonight! Patch checked out an awesome recent dress rehearsal; these students are so talented. This is a night of great theater, so don’t miss it!
