Daily Five: Drug Discount Cards, Chalk Talk and End of Watch

Your Daily Five, Montville.

1. Mostly sunny and windy and very, very cold with a high of 22 and you can expect single digit temps again Thursday night.  Be careful; dress in layers to avoid frostbite or hypothermia.

2. Earlier this month we told you about Montville’s participation in the  Connecticut State
Discount Prescription Program through the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, which provides prescription medication discount cards to residents in participating communities. Initially we were told the cards would be immediately available; they were not. But now, Montville Finance Director Terry Hart says, the cards should be in mailboxes by Friday. The cards can also be printed off the website.  Let me know if you don’t get those cards by Friday!

3.  Tyl Middle School 6th grade chorus concert tonight at 7; you don’t have to have a child singing to enjoy the show!

4. Oakdale principal Mark Johnson’s ‘Chalk Talk’ is so awesome! In his message to parents he talks about myriad school-related issues but with a primary focus on school safety and procedures. It’s attached or you can visit the schools website.
