Daily Five: Awesome Autumn Day, Senior Center Yoga, 'Dig Pink' Volleyball

Here's your Daily Five, folks. Enjoy the day!

1. Sunny and 57 degrees with little if any chance of rain; a beautiful October day. Enjoy!

2. Montville High School drama students are presenting Harvey, the Pulitzer Prize winning play by Mary Chase; brilliant, funny, delightful. Maybe you’ve seen the film with Jimmy Stewart? If so, you know what I’m talking about. This is sure to be a great night of theater! Two shows -- Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 – both with 7 p.m. curtains.  Cannot wait to see Elwood P. Dowd and Harvey (wink, wink!).

3. Dig Pink volleyball game Friday Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. at Montville High School to raise money and awareness for breast cancer awareness.

4. Science and Technology Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut, the regional high school which specializes in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, is accepting applications for the 2013/2014 school year.  Guided tours are available. I’ve been there. It’s amazing. Students in this region are lucky to have this opportunity.

5. Checking in at the Senior Center: today is heath clinic day from 9 – 11:30 and the awesome yoga class in the ballroom from 9:15 to 10:15. Montville has a wonderful senior center!
