Daily Five: Arctic Air, Midterm Exams and Congrats Tyl!

1. A thoroughly messy morning commute and a cold, windy day ahead. Stay warm and be careful.

2. Planning and Zoning Commission meets tonight at 7 albeit without much of an agenda.

3. Midterm exams begin today for Montville High School students. Good luck!

4. A bit more school news: According to its website, Oakdale School’s Math Olympiad is today from 3:30 to 4:30. Doing the math, that’s …an hour! Seriously, we are absolutely impressed by young mathematicians.

5. And speaking of math, congratulations to Tyl Middle and Principal Mary Jane Dix; the Montville Education Foundation awarded the school a near $5,00 grant for laptop computers for Math Intervention Students to assist in small group instruction for the most struggling math students.
