Daily Five: Youth Football Begins, Bare Cupboards and Cool Temps

Five things for today, July 30

 

1. Waking up with a blanket, albeit a light one, felt nice. Today it will be partly cloudy with temps edging into the mid to upper 70s. That’s fine!

2. The New London Food Bank is looking for donations as is our very own but this time of year, the need is great and the cupboards are bare. Consider cleaning out your shelves and donating extra canned goods.

3. has kittens! Go reserve one or two. And remember, they are great gifts. (Just kidding!) Bur seriously, there’s adorable fluffy kitties all in a row, and at juts 4 weeks, they have a few weeks to go. But do stop by.

4.  I heat that Sounds like fun. For them! These kids will work hard and play harder and have plenty of fun and get in shape in the process. Sounds like a  (game) plan.

5. Governor Malloy’s statewide emergency preparedness drill continues today, so if you should see something in your travels around New London County and other communities statewide, it just may be a drill.
