Daily Five: 26 Heavenly Balloons, MHS Choir Concert!, and Recycle Holiday Schedule

Your Five is full of love, music and sunshine.

1. Not a cloud in the sky. Well that’s what the forecasters said anyway. Sunny, breezy, windy even, with a high of 46.

2. As a way to honor and remember the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, today at 4 p.m., the amazing staff, kids and friends from the Montville Youth Services Bureau will be releasing 26 balloons with the names of those whose lives were lost during its After School Program. “We would like to extend the invite to any of our families to join us,” MYSB wrote on its Facebook page.

3. Don’t miss the Montville High School Choir concert at 7 p.m. tonight in the auditorium.  And the night will be cold, and clear, just perfect for a winter concert filled with uplifting holiday music. Silent Night, awesome night.

4. Make a note of it. Commit it to memory or just check back with Patch; we’ll remind you again. Recycling is going on the holiday schedule the next couple of weeks. Monday Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, is a normal pick up day and Tuesday December 25 starts the holiday schedule. Also, New Year’s Eve is a normal pick up and New Year’s Day will start the holiday schedule; Tuesday will be Wednesday and so on.
