Daily 5: Montville, Meet the CT Sun!

1. Showers are likely today, the weather gurus tell us. A thunderstorm is possible, too. The day will be warm, with a high near 72.

2. Two Connecticut Sun players will greet customers and sign autographs at the Dunkin Donuts at 641 Route 32 on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. The event is free, and it should be tons of fun!

3. Cool! Destiny Dziengiel and her mom are shown together in the photo. They won a $100 gift certificate to Hair Design. Yay! There were into the contest, and 88 votes in the comments. Destiny's photo won with 37 votes.

4. Guess it's contest mania time! One lucky Montville High School student will win a prom dress from in Madison. Upload a photo (one that belongs to you), that shows why Montville High School is awesome! After you upload the photo, tell us about it in the caption. The winner will be selected in a random drawing and notified by email.

5.  St. Bernard graduation is Friday. Montville High School's junior prom is Saturday, and the senior prom is June 2. 'Tis the season, in many respects - and it pays to be extra careful.

Extra, extra! Today is my birthday! I am 56, an age I thought - at various times and for various reasons - I'd never reach. But here I am. Born in 56, and being 56. It hardly seems possible.
