  • Well, If you're a MHS Student you have access to Naviance to search for all the scholarships that come to our office

Do you do web searches?

  • You can, but be careful and read everything before providing personal information
  • Some online sites that I've found to be useful are posted each month in the Counseling & Career Scholarship Newsletter - which is sent out to all MHS juniors and seniors through their Naviance Account - or can be downloaded by visiting the MHS Counseling web site.

How do I know this scholarship isn't a scam?

  • In most cases if they ask you to submit payment, or guarantee that they will get you the scholarship - be suspicious.  If you think it could be a great oppportunity but you're not sure it it legitimate - print out a copy and bring it in to your counselor or Mrs. Ingoglia in the Career Resource Center at MHS.
  • For more information on scholarship scams visit the FTC Consumer protection website on scholarships scams.
