The recently passed gun control measures are leading to litigation against the State of Connecticut. Disabled Americans for Firearms Rights, DAFR, a civil rights organization representing disabled Americans and their firearms rights, is opposed to Connecticut Senate Bill 1160, which was signed into law by Governor Dannel Malloy on April 4, 2013. “Our organization and its members are extremely disappointed with the recent passing of Connecticut SB 1160. We continue to express that this law is extremely discriminatory toward residents of the State of Connecticut. This law violates the Constitutional rights of not only the disabled but all residents of Connecticut. Disabled Americans for Firearms Rights is steadfast in correcting this extremely discriminatory law through all forms of legal avenues including litigation,” said DAFR founder Scott Ennis.
