The Citizens Bank Foundation awards $5,000 to affordable housing initiative at Martin House, Inc.

The Citizens Bank Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Martin House Inc., an affordable housing initiative that offers support services to low-income adults in the form of self-reliance and employment programs. The $5,000 grant will provide members of the community access to affordable housing in conjunction with the support services they need to achieve safe and successful futures.

Participants at Martin House learn to become self-sufficient in their everyday activities and to positively contribute to the communities in which they live. The majority of Martin House residents have been impacted by mental illness and, as a result, have been encumbered by homelessness. Beneficial programs offered by the organization include Employment Services, a Medical Advocacy Program and an On-Site Adult Education Program.
