Wife of Robert Kraft Has Died

Kraft owns Rand-Whitney Containerboard and the New England Patriots

According to the Boston Herald, Myra Kraft, wife of Robert Kraft, who owns Rand-Whitney Containerboard, and the New England Patriots football team, died this morning after a “courageous battle with cancer."

She was 68.

According to the Boston Herald, the Patriots issued a press release about Myra Kraft, who, the paper said, had not been seen at her husband’s side at recent events because of her illness:

“Words cannot express the deep sorrow that we feel in learning of the passing of Myra Hiatt Kraft," the Herald reported that the press release said. "Myra passed away early this morning after a courageous battle with cancer. We are all heartbroken. The global philanthropic community and the New England Patriots family have suffered a great loss.”

Myra Kraft was the president and director of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, the paper said, and served on the boards of directors of the American Repertory Theatre and United Way of Massachusetts Bay, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and Brandeis University.

Rand-Whitney Containerboard, which has a Montville plant, makes cardboard for shipping and packaging containers.
