Sold? Not This Week And It Should Be At Least A Little Busy, Assessor Says

A year ago to the week, four properties were sold for nearly $1 million.

 

Normally on a Sunday, we’d be sharing a list of property transactions with you. But not this week, given not one sale was recorded. 

 “It should be that time of the year,” Town Assessor Lucy Beit said recently, suggesting the office should be at least a “little busy.”

After a cursory look at real estate/property sales over the last year, going back to July of 2011, it appears that four is the magic number; the average weekly number of transactions.  Some weeks with large numbers, in early June of 2011, 10 houses sold in one week.
