Oakdale-Based Vodka Makers In Battle Over Trademark

The Norwich Bulletin reports on battle with Australian wine maker

 

Kevin Clang, of Uncasville, and Carl Brown, of Oakdale, lifelong pals who created the popular liqueur-based vodka [Kra-Ze] have found themselves in a skirmish over a trademark issue with an Australian wine maker.

Casella discussed a settlement that would have removed brackets from around [Kra-ze] name, but no agreement was reached, the paper reported.  Casella, “dropped opposition after those talks ceased” the paper reported.

In 2011, Montville Patch first reported on Clang and Brown’s [Kra-ze] creation which is based on an old Polish family recipe of split and squeezed lemons boiled with sugar and mixed with vodka.
