Busy Week At Tyl Middle: Lockdown And Bomb Threat

It's been a busy week at Tyl Middle School, with an investigation into a bomb threat on Monday and a brief lockdown Tuesday.

Lt. Leonard Bunnell said the bomb threat was discovered by school personnel on Monday. That investigation remains open and he could not provide more details.

Posters on Montville Patch's Facebook page said the threat was found written on a bathroom wall.

On Tuesday, the school had a lockdown from about 1 to 1:30 p.m., Bunnell said. School personnel reported suspicious people outside the building so the lockdown was ordered while police investigated. Nothing was found, Bunnell said.
