This Weekend: Sun Winefest, New London Winter Film Festival

Hoping for a little peace and quiet this weekend? Well, we’re sorry to break it to you, but that’s just not how this weekend is going to go. There’s a whole lot happening this weekend, and fortunately for you, we have your schedule all booked up. You’ll thank us after your fun-filled weekend. Here’s what we have planned for your weekend:

WHERE/WHEN: Events run Friday through Sunday at Mohegan Sun.

WHY GO: Wine. Lots and lots of it.

PRICING: Pricing varies by event.

WHERE/WHEN: Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Waterford High School.

WHY GO: Do you like to laugh? Then that’s why you should go.

PRICING: Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students in advance. Tickets at the door will be available at $15 for adults and $10 for students.

WHERE/WHEN: Friday at 6 p.m. at Muddy Waters Café.

WHY GO: Admission donations support the Hygienic Art Park summer music events!

PRICING: Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

NEW LONDON WINTER FILM FESTIVAL

WHERE/WHEN: The festival is through March 2 on at The Garde Arts Center!

WHY GO: You know all those films you missed out on seeing? Well, here’s your chance! will play on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m.

PRICING: Cost is $4 per show or $30 for the 16-film pass.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from 5:30 p.m. at Mystic Aquarium.

WHY GO: Oh come on, we know you’ve been missing your Dancing with the Stars fix…

PRICING: Tickets to watch the Pro-Am competition are $25. Cost for full evening including champagne reception, competitions, pro show and banquet dinner are $95.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bill Library.

WHY GO: How about a little Sunday history to wrap up your weekend?

PRICING: No charge.

 

Still need more to keep busy? Here are a few ideas:

: Grab a bit between 5 and 9 p.m. Thursday at in Mystic and a portion of sales will be donated to Mystic Community Bikes.

: Show will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Leamy Hall in New London. Admission is free.

: Dinner will be on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Mohegan Fire House. All-you-can-eat dinner is $10 per adult and $7 per child.
