This Weekend: Island Hop Party, Kelly Clarkson Concert

Don’t let the work week get you down! The weekend is here, and boy, do we have plenty to keep you busy. Leave your sensible shoes and conservative suits home this weekend and have some fun, instead! Check out what we’ve put together to make your weekend a good one:

WHERE/WHEN: The party starts at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Shops at Mohegan Sun Concourse.

WHY GO: Tiki bar, steel drums, tropical drinks—what more could you ask for?

PRICING: Drink, dining and shopping specials vary by location.

WHERE/WHEN: Show will be held at on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and also at 2 p.m. Saturday.

WHY GO: It’s described as “a dark as coal new comedy.” And don’t bring the kids—this Christmas show is for adults, only.

PRICING: Tickets are available at the door and are $15 each on Friday and Saturday evenings and $10 for the Thursday evening and Saturday matinee shows.

WHERE/WHEN: Friday at 8 p.m. at Foxwoods’ MGM Grand Theater.

WHY GO: Know that “Mr. Know it All” song you rock out to in the car? Yeah, she’ll probably sing that.

PRICING: Tickets start at $60 each.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at noon at the Mystic YMCA.

WHY GO: Show off those basketball skills! Competition is open to boys and girls ages 10 to 14.

PRICING: Free.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at 3 p.m. at .

WHY GO: Prepare to be amazed! And come early to stop by the Psychic Fair—it opens at 1:30 p.m.

PRICING: Tickets to the show are $22 each.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at 7 p.m. through Monday at 9 a.m. at .

WHY GO: Well, since there’s no school on Monday, why not treat the kids to some aquatic fun?  

PRICING: Cost is $50 for adult members, $40 for child members, $60 for adult non-members and $50 for child non-members.

: At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum. Free with museum admission.
