Salem Farm Hosting Music Festival Saturday to Benefit Newtown Victims

Saturday, a farm in Salem is having an evening of “music and community” in an effort to gather support and raise money for the town of Newtown.

The musical festival at Treasure Hill Farm at 523 Old Colchester Road in Salem will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There are more than 100 musicians who have volunteered to play music at the event including Tuba Christmas, from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island; the Cadets of Bergen County, New Jersey, Connecticut; Daniel James Durand of Rhode Island; Ensign Darling Vocal Fellows from Connecticut; Jesse Lee Singers of Norwich; Frankie Justin Lamprey and The Breakdown from Rhode Island.

And there will be food there as well including the Rolling Tomato!

Monetary donations will be accepted and a special raffle will be held to benefit the United Way Sandy Hook Support fund.
