Ready, Set, Squirt!

Now that the heat is here, head on out to the Dollar Store and buy a whole ammunition depot of cheap squirt guns that we remember as kids. You know, the ones with the trigger that you pump and then the gun only squirts a few feet and does not hold a gallon of water with a gallon reserve tank on your back.

Have your child sit with his or her back to you in a lawn chair outside. Place a small paper cup on his head. Now take the squirt gun and try to shoot the cup off. How many squirts did it take? Now it is your kid's turn to try on you. Can your child knock the cup off of your head?

After you've had your fun with paper cups, apples, tennis balls and whatever else you can balance on your head, equip your kids and all their friends with the guns, and play hide and seek - with water pistols!
